Alan Wassilak
| Alan was born on August 28, 1949. He lives in
Somerville, Massachusetts (just outside of Boston) and fills the
position of administrative coordinator and quality management
representative at Filter Sales and Service, Inc. in Burlington, MA. He
attended Massachusetts College of Art, majoring in graphic design and
graduating in 1971 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
He is a member of the Society of American Magicians, the
International In his spare time he does free lance illustration work, chiefly for the magic world, and he occasionally performs a comedy magic act under the professional name of Alan the Uncanny. (Other performing personae are currently in development, one of which is particularly "bizarre.") His interests within magic are eclectic. Other activities over the years have included cartoon animation, portrait and documentary photography, comedy writing, and musical theater. His general interests also include history, mythology, psychology, anthropology, and popular culture in all its forms. Ghost stories and tales of supernatural terror are a particular fascination.
