| Bill, now in his fifties, resides in Nova Scotia,
Canada and became interested in magic at the age of seven. He became
keenly interested in mentalism work in the early 1970's.
Bill has been involved in performing and teaching in the area of
Extra Sensory Perception (known as ESP) for over 30 years. Bill
VanGorder, CFRE, is President of Magic Resource
Concepts
Associates (MRC Associates) an enterprise he operates with his
wife,
Esther VanGorder, FCIP. He has been active in charity and not-for-profit
management and fund raising since 1963 and is a past
president of both the Nova Scotia and
Canadian Society of Fund Raising Executives and a founding
board member of the Canadian Centre for
Philanthropy. Bill is an instructor for the Dalhousie
University MBA program.
Esther and Bill have developed their abilities and performances to
a
point that they are called upon to work for both local companies and
organization and many of the conferences and conventions that come to
Halifax from around the world. A unique side of their services are the
presentations, talks and speeches to conferences, dinner meetings,
convention banquets, and staff and volunteer training sessions. Bill and
Esther are also professional magicians and psychic entertainers. (Members
of the Psychic Entertainers Association, Society of American Magicians,
the Canadian Association of Magicians and the International Brotherhood
of Magicians.) This allows the speeches and presentations
to be high impact and easy to remember as well as entertaining. They
also offer a full package of services for conferences and conventions
which includes fund raising, planning and volunteer development
workshops and lectures as well as after dinner entertainment for the
dinners or banquets. A very economical package for charitable and
not-for-profit organizations.
Although they are exclusively active as members of the
international Psychic Entertainers Association, Bill was the founding
President of IBM Ring
235, the Atlantic Territorial VP for
the IBM and a Charter Member of IBM Ring 316. |
