a.k.a. Roni Shachnaey.
| Now retired and residing in Yorkshire, UK, Ronaldo`s
interest in the arts was evident from a very early age. At
school , he took an active part in most school plays and later on wrote
and produced short plays for the drama group of which he had formed and
took on Neighbourhood tours.
Whilst in high school he learnt to play the guitar and at age of 15 formed his first group that a year later toured and played most of the well known holiday resorts , hotels and clubs. Ronaldo continued his studies and at the same time carried on with his band. By now he started a further artistic career: illustrating books for publishers. On finishing the high school Ronaldo joined the Israeli army . In 1968 , shortly after the six days war,he formed a group for which he wrote the music and the lyrics .The first song the band had recorded immediately made it to charts and became hit number one. Ronaldo decided it was time for bigger and better things and left Israel for England. After a while in England Ronaldo met the late Jimmy Rogers, a retired Master Magician who taught him the true art of magic. Ronaldo was bitten by the magic bug. He left music and directed all his resources to the art of magic. The name RONALDO was born. In the next 10 years Ronaldo became a well - known magician with a very powerful mental act. In 1978 Ronaldo decided to return to Israel , whilst in Israel , he founded The Israeli Society for Promoting the Art of Magic. Being the society`s first
president his vision was to teach and help the young generation of
magicians in the true sense of the word. And so he did.
Guy Bavli
was one of Ronaldo’s new students, in those days Ronaldo was
performing 4-5 shows daily and Guy was always around, hungry to learn.
In 1987 Ronaldo returned to England with his family. In November 2006, he attended the ICBM Gathering in the U.S.A and was invested as a 6th. member. He currently runs Psychic Services and you can read and see more about him at his website by clicking HERE. |
