TheHP Broom.

 

The H. P. Broomstick is a variation of the 'Rising Pencil' attributed to Okito and works like the 'Voodoo Doll'. 

You are supplied with a miniature broomstick, each one painstakingly made by hand.  When placed flat on the outstretched palm, it will spookily rise until it is standing upright. At the conclusion of the performance, let the spectator take hold of the upright broom as you move your hand away thus eliminating the thoughts of threads or magnets being used.

The 'Highly Paranormal Broomstick' is a House Of Secrets exclusive and will be a limited item.

With the release of the Harry Potter film (with more to come), audiences have seen broomsticks in action on the screen and are keen to see and know more about them. Maybe this could be the basis for the story you recall when presenting the 'Highly Paranormal Broomstick?
