You explain that for thousands of years people have been fascinated by the Zodiac signs and indeed by their incredible powers of divining present and future events. Every month has its own special magical and mysterious sign that tells, for those that are familiar with those signs, what type of person the individual is that was born under a particular star sign and perhaps what the future holds for them.

You hand a spectator a packet of beautiful red backed Zodiac cards and ask them to remove from the top of the pack, the number of cards corresponding with their birth month (One card for January, 5 for May etc.) and hide them away from view. You or the spectator must turn away whilst this is being done. When they have finished doing that, they are to hand you back the balance of the pack, without saying a word.

You proceed and lay down the cards in a circle (clock face fashion) with the red backs uppermost. Saying that throughout history the circle has been regarded as one of the most magical symbols and believed to contain endless mystical properties. Sometimes within circles like Stonehenge, weird, bizarre and wonderful things may happen. It reminds you (you say) of the Circles of the mind.

You now tell the spectator that with the aid of a small pebble or gemstone representing Earth, you will start “Tapping” the circle of cards and when you arrive at the card corresponding with her birth date, she is to call “STOP” and you will lay the pebble on that very card.

You start tapping on the cards calling the month’s of the year: “January-February-March-April-May” the person says “Stop”. You leave your pebble on that very month (Card). You now ask the spectator if there was any chance you could know the month of her birth, bearing in mind she could have freely chosen anybodies birth month (A family member a friend etc.). She will reply “No”.

You now ask her to remove the pebble and turn this very card over. The face of the turned over card is blank. You now ask her to turn the rest of the cards in this mystical circle over. As she does so, to every body’s surprise, all the rest of the cards have BLACK faces! You now ask this person to take the cards she hid before the start of the effect and show their faces to the audience, indeed they also have black faces! And this is not all you say, “look at the remaining balance of the pack that I have not touched at all”. You now turn the balance of the pack over and yes, they as well have all got black faces! You have now proved beyond all doubt that the Zodiac signs have weird but wonderful magical properties! To conclude this astonishing effect you proceed to ask the spectator whose birth month she was thinking of and the exact date. With this information you proceed to paint for that person, the character of the thought of person according to that particular Zodiac sign!
